Welcome to OURC

“Welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”

– Romans 15:7

At Oceanside United Reformed Church, "welcome" means much more than just an invitation—it’s the heart of our faith. Jesus welcomes us as we are, and through His grace, He transforms our lives, one step at a time.

We know that visiting a new church can be both exciting and overwhelming, but we hope this website helps you find your place here. Whether you're new to the faith or seeking a deeper connection, we invite you to join us in worship, dive into God’s Word, and experience the warmth of our community.

Why Join Us at Oceanside United Reformed Church?

The Gospel

Jesus is front and center in all we are and do as a congregation. God saves sinners is the message of Scripture and Jesus is the Savior of the world. Every Sunday we hear his voice in the preaching of the “gospel” (good news), celebration of communion, singing and praying in his name, and extending love to any and all who find their way to us.

Worship Together

Experience meaningful worship that is saturated with Scripture, utilizes ancient patterns of prayer, sings three thousand year old Psalms, theologically-rich hymns from the Christian tradition, as well as contemporary praise. We do this in a space where the intergenerational family of God comes together and children participate alongside grandparents and parents in a shared faith.

Grow in Faith

We take the Bible seriously. We don’t just say we believe it’s God’s Word, we practice it. Sundays and all gatherings are full of the reading and preaching, teaching, and discussing the Word. Together, in community and prayer, we grow up in our faith.

Belong to a Community

Here you will find fellowship with a diverse people from many tribes and tongues, from many backgrounds, of all ages and places in life. We all belong to a church family. With a pastor, elders, deacons, and congregation, we practice a meaningful membership where we seek to love and support one another.

Be Transformed

Encounter the grace of Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit.. He welcomes sinners and promises to change sinners’ lives from the inside out.

Hospitality

We are a hospitable church, looking out for newcomers to welcome into the family. We also express hospitality in our homes every Sunday, so expect to be invited in to share a meal with us.
