A Personal Welcome to Thanksgiving
As the pastor of Oceanside United Reformed Church, I personally welcome you to our Thanksgiving Day service.
More than Turkey Day with endless football games, Thanksgiving is a day to be dedicated to Almighty God for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings of this life; but above all for His inestimable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ.
This is an occasion worth celebrating, and I invite you to celebrate with us.
Haven’t been to church in a while or are simply curious? It’s all good; we’ve been there. We’d be honored to have you join us. Check out our What to Expect to get reacquainted or introduced to church for the first time.
Our doors, arms, and hearts are open to you!
—Dr. Daniel R. Hyde, pastor of Oceanside United Reformed Church and author of What to Expect in Reformed Worship

About an hour, starting at 10am. Nobody is timing you, either — if you need to slip out early, slip out.
-
Not at all. No one is called out, but if you’d like to pray aloud your thanks, we have a time for that.

Yes. You’re our guest, so please don’t feel obligated to give.
-
We meet in the Chapel of the Army and Navy Academy (2549 Ocean St.), at the west end of the campus on the corner of Cypress Ave./Ocean St., overlooking the Pacific. Head toward the water and you’ll see it. Come right into the chapel, where hymnals and bulletins will be set out for you.
-
Street parking and the public lots nearby are your best bet. Directions and parking notes are on our Find Us page.
-
We do meet in an older building, so there is no built-in ramp. It’s just a few inches of step-up, but someone will give you a hand or wheel you in if needed. We also have space down the center aisle where walkers and wheelchairs may be parked.
