Anchored: Steadfast in the Word for Shifting Times

ANCHORED exists to form men in Carlsbad, Oceanside, and North County San Diego who are steadfast in Christ, Scripture, and the Reformed Christian faith to live with steady courage in the church, home, and society in our ever-shifting times.

Description

Oceanside United Reformed Church believes Christian men must be ANCHORS for the benefit of the church, home, & society. In times when cunning and deceitful ideology, philosophy, and theology toss us back and forth on their waves and seek to carry us away by their winds, we need such men more than ever.

ANCHORED exists to form men to be firmly anchored in:

ANCHORED exists to form men for such a time as this of shifting cultural tides so they can stand fast in truth, character, and ability as leaders:

  • In the church

  • In the home

  • In the society

ANCHORED will pursue this formation through covenant discipleship as grandfathers, fathers, husbands, and brothers gather for:

  • Teaching

  • Prayer

  • Camaraderie

What to Expect

  • Lots of food

  • The expected camaraderie of a men’s fellowship

  • Singing—off-key, of course!

  • Time of prayer for needs

  • In-depth study of Scripture, ordinarily reading through a classic text of Christian theology

Next Meeting: Third Tuesday night of the month, 7pm

Location: We meet at various men’s homes and backyards
