Hello,

I read th interview at "Gospel Centered Musings" and believe that a book that easily gives answers to those who are new to the reformed faith a very important work. I still have friends from the broader evangelical world who will, out of spite for Calvin ask me, "so, how many points are you?" I can give them the Canons of ,Dort, but they are usually suspicious of "old writing", so this is helpful. One recommendation however, maybe the book cover could show feet wearing sandals instead of dress shoes.
( just kidding).
As an aside, I also have been curious about the congregation at Oceanside as we might be moving that direction in a few months, but sadly there is no information or photos about the congregational life there. There are links to the blogs of both pastors, there are links to other churchs and blogs, there are ads for new books but there is nothing about the communal life of that local visible church. Maybe, it would be helpful if someone wrote a book about the historical community of the covenantal family of believers. Just a thought;)

Hello Susan,

Thank you for the feedback. Send me an email if you'd like more info about the church. If you click on all the links you'll see our Lord's Day schedule. We also have a Wednesday prayer meeting and study in theology, a men's breakfast, and a women's fellowship that both meet about once a month.

Thank you for the warm invitation, Reverend Hyde.

Wonderful, you have a lot of fellowship opportunities! We are currently in Riverside(we attend CRC Anaheim, but are seriously considering the Escondido area;-)

Blessings,
Susan

Come check out the OURC if and when you move down. Like Christ Reformed, we are all about Christ-centered preaching, celebrating the Lord's Supper weekly, and being confessional in an evangelical culture.
